New Mexico, known to some as the Land of Enchantment, or as the 47th state to enter the Union, or as the home of Roswell and its “Alien Crash Site”, or as the only state with an official state question, “Red or Green?”, or as the best kept real estate secret in America.

The region that would become New Mexico was first recorded in 1540-1542 by a Spanish explorer looking for gold. About 300 years later, a portion of New Mexico was gained by the United States during the Mexican War. The remainder of the state was deeded to the U.S. under the Gadsden Purchase of 1853.

155 years from that time forward, New Mexico has grown steadily in every area. This growth is due, in part, to the scientific centers in Los Alamos and Sandia, nuclear, solar and geothermal are the main focuses of study there, the military bases, which are on the cutting edge of new technology, and the beautiful scenery, which appeals to people from all over the globe.

Whether you are looking for peace and inspiration in an artist community, high-tech commerce in a bustling city, or a family-friendly town, every place you look, New Mexico has your answer. No matter where you choose, you will always be surrounded by natural beauty, gorgeous sunsets, and a way of life that only exists only in New Mexico.
